King Artichoke Dip

This recipe is from Andrea Prince, of Canada, who writes, "I first had this dip at my mother-in-law's and I couldn't stop eating it! It's even better because it is reserved for special occasions, and everyone in the family loves it. Every time I make it someone asks me for the recipe."

8 slices bacon
1 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14 oz.) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
3 cups chopped fresh spinach
1/4 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce

Directions:

Saute bacon, onion and garlic. Add artichoke and saute 1 minute.

Beat cream cheese and sour cream in bowl until smooth. Add bacon mixture. Stir. Mix in spinach and Worchestershire sauce. Thin with milk if desired.

Serve in a hollowed out loaf with bread chunks for dipping. Makes 3 cups.
