Grandma's Guacamole

This recipe is from Shannan Bessey of Omaha, who writes, "My grandmother makes this when we come over to her house. We ask for it especially. She is from Spain and she makes the best Spanish/Mexican food. Her mother (Epafania Martinez) passed it on to her and so on and so on. I hope you love it as much as I do."

3 large avocados
1 small yellow or white onion
1 clove garlic
1 bunch fresh cilantro
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
3 baked chile peppers (anaheim, banana...)
Salt

Directions:

In medium bowl, mash avocados.

Dice onion and add to bowl. Cut garlic into small pieces and add to bowl. Chop cilantro, about 2 tablespoons, and place in bowl.

Take hot chile peppers and take off skin. (might want to use rubber gloves when handling) rinse out seeds and dice peppers. Add to bowl.

Add 2 tsp Cayenne pepper and salt to taste, about 1 teaspoon. Mix well and refrigerate.
