Choconuts Pastry

This recipe is from reader Julia Rosenfeld, who writes: "I usually make this pastry around holiday times, especially as a gift if I visit someone's home. I make a lot of them. I place them in a pretty shopping bag with colorful tissue paper and ribbons. It makes a beautiful gift."

Ingredients:

Phyllo dough
Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Nuts (any kind you like)
Confectioners' sugar

Directions:

Cut the phyllo dough into small squares. Take a few chocolate chips and a few nuts and place them on each square of dough.

Bring the ends of the dough together at the centre, and squeeze the ends shut. Place on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 300 degrees F. for 8 to 12 minutes, until the dough is flaky and lightly browned.

Remove from oven, and when cool sprinkle with the confectioners sugar. Make as many as you like.
