Lime Jello Christmas Salad

This recipe was given to me by Brenda Gustin, my former sister-in-law. The first time I met their family was over Christmas, and we stayed with Marty and Brenda. There were 10 children mostly with spouses and children of their own. Brenda showed me pictures and told me about all the people so I would be somewhat oriented before I was faced with them all.

Ingredients:

1 small package lime Jello
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 package Dream Whip topping

Directions:

Prepare Jello according to package directions, and refrigerate until it starts to thicken.

Stir in the celery and walnuts.

Prepare Dream Whip according to package directions, omitting vanilla.

Fold Dream Whip into the Jello mixture.

Decorate top with a ring of marachino cherries if desired.
