Maple Walnut Squares

Maple syrup and walnuts go so well together - one of my favorite ice cream flavors is maple walnut. And they go equally well together in these tasty squares which combine a rich maple syrup and walnut topping with a shortbread base. Try them with a scoop of ice cream (maybe even maple walnut ice cream!) for dessert.
