Rocky Road Bars

A yummy square recipe with the classic "rocky road" combination of chocolate, marshmallows and nuts. Quick and easy to make.
 
Ingredients:
Recommend this recipe to a friend

Base:
3 squares semi-sweet chocolate
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups graham wafer crumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
1/2 cup flaked coconut

Topping:
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup pecans
1 can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand, 300ml)
3 squares semi-sweet chocolate

Directions:

Base:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Put chocolate and butter in a 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Put in the oven to melt.

Remove from the oven and add the graham wafer crumbs, pecans, and coconut. Mix well and then press into the bottom of the pan.

Topping:
Sprinkle marshmallows over base. Sprinkle coconut over marshmallows, and then pecans.
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over all.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool.

Melt chocolate squares. Drizzle over the cooled bars. Chill and cut into squares.
