| NOTES: |
Alexander is my great grandfather, the
oldest child of Andrew Donogh, and half brother
to the rest of them. He married Eliza Ann Hill in
Mount Forest, and their 2 oldest children were born
there. Eliza was born
in Strathroy, Ontario on January 25th, 1855, the
daughter of Robert Hill and Hannah.
In 1882, they decided to
move to Manitoba. A year later, they moved further
west, to Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan for 5 years
before returning to Manitoba to farm in the Huntington
District. Eliza died in 1902, after several years
of suffering. She had TB and Hodgkins disease.
In 1903 Alexander married
Elizabeth Halladay, who predeceased him in 1915.
Elizabeth was born about 1858. Her parents were
Thomas Halladay and Margaret Jackson. Margaret
Jackson's sister was Jane Jackson (Andrew Donogh's
second wife).
Here is a picture of Alexander and Eliza with Charles
Jackson and Andrew Lee:

of Charles Jackson Donogh. Click here to visit Cliff's website, where he also has information on his research into the Durston family history.
