Elizabeth Jane Donogh (known as Lizzy), as a young woman, went to Kitimat B.C. to work in the Methodist Mission boarding school for young Indian girls. She married Charles Moore, who farmed in the area. He was born in England. They had 3 sons, Charles, who died in infancy, Sydney, who died at age 15 of a ruptured appendix, and John.

Lizzie died in 1919 of stomach cancer. Her sister Minnie took her sons to live with them on their farm in Saskatchewan. The boys lived there for 6 or 7 years until their father remarried and the boys returned to Kitimat.
