| NOTES: |
Uncle Tom and Aunt Kizzie were married
in Toronto. Kizzie was born in Toronto on December
10, 1857, and died in Berkeley. California on December
20, 1944. Her parents were William and Sarah A.
Andrews. They had no children.
Tom was a merchant, and had a small dry
goods store which he ran for 14 years. He got
out of business at the end of the First World
War, as times were hard.
Stanly and Ann (the grandchildren
of Andrew Ormsby) remember Uncle and Auntie -
Stanly remembers the apartment that they lived
in, which was actually in the building owned by
Andrew and Marion. You could stand in the window
and watch the trolleys go by on Shattuck Avenue.
And Ann remembers Auntie baking cakes - she got
to lick the batter out of the bowl (when she was
about 3 or 4 years old). And she is proud today
to use Auntie's Haviland china.
